The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has announced that it would be using the domain name of ‘.travel’ to make industry professionals aware of its emergencies and crises in the sector.

Those who work in the industry can access this Emergency Management System through the portal that has been set up. “We decided to use SOS.travel as the signature Domain Name of our global system because it describes exactly our goal – the web address on the internet for industry stakeholders and tourists themselves to go to essential information in emergency situations,” said UNWTO Assistant Secretary-General Geoffrey Lipman.
