Domain Company Registerfly Held in Contempt of Court

The Registerfly injunction has been made permanent. Registerfly - whose ICANN accreditation meant they sold .com and .net web addresses - and the CEO Kevin Medina have been held in contempt of Court. The injunction was initially given by United States District Court Judge Manuel L and made permanent on 26 April. All registrants data of any domain name must be given to ICANN by June. This will then be transferred to a new registrar. The rumour bouncing aroung the net at the moment is the new registrar will be GoDaddy.com.
