The Delhi High Court has ruled that US broadcaster India Broadcast Live may not use their domain name "indiatvlive.com" to broadcast Indian television programs in their original form. Representatives of India TV, a prominent Indian Hindi news and current affairs television channel, argued that the domain name infringed their trademark, and India Broadcast Live was banned in January from using any domain name containing the words "India TV", or transferring the rights to any other entity.

India Broadcast Live has now been permitted to use the Domain Name, but a disclaimer is required to be displayed prominently beside the logo which admits that the site has no connection with India TV. Even indiabroadcastlive.com is subject to the same court order's ruling, because disputed "indiatvlive.com" domain name simply redirects to this new site.
