ICANN have announced an exchange of letters with the ccTLD manager regarding .sn—Senegal, NIC Senegal. The Accountability Framework program provides two mechanisms where it is possible for country code top level domains managers to formalise their relationship with ICANN.

The Accountability Framework document sets out obligations of a ccTLD manager and ICANN and also covers dispute resolution and termination of a domain name. It is designed for ccTLD managers who require a formal document with ICANN.

The second mechanism is an exchange of letters between ICANN and the ccTLD manager. It is designed for those who require a simple statement of commitment.
