First Domain Auction
The first live auction bidding for domains names has been announced. DomainSponsor (the business monetisation of Oversee.net and one of the organisers of Domainfest in Holland) have partnered with NICIT (one of the German-speaking aftermarket leaders) to bring quality domain names to the attendees.
DOMAINfest Amsterdam (to be held May 16-17, 2007 at the Hilton Amsterdam Hotel) is a two-day regional seminar and networking event created to respond to needs of domainers in the European business environment.
High value Domain Names will be sold in a premium live auction on site. The balance of names will be offered through NICIT’s online auction site. Participants can submit domains, pre-bid and bid during the live auction which will take place on May 17, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. (Central European Time).
Ron Sheridan, Director of Business Development for DomainSponsor explains "Hosting an auction with NICIT adds a new dimension to DOMAINfest Amsterdam. This will truly be a global auction with an array of TLDs being offered. Our objective is to make this relevant to a broader domain buying audience. It is a natural evolution of DOMAINfest as we strive to offer more to the domainer community, and establish this event as the premier conference and marketplace for the domain industry."
DomainSponsor leads in domain monetization, and has served domain owners since 2002. It monetises over two and a half million domain names and features over 100 million unique visitors a month.
