Are you ready for café.eu. Internationalised domains launch.

The big news this week is that .eu and Domainmonster will be launching IDN’s (Internationalized Domain Names) this Thursday 10th December 2009 at 10am UTC. Not only is it launching in just a couple of days, but without a Sunrise (Trademark Holders) or Landrush (Premium Public) period. Its going straight to general availability to the public and at regular .eu pricing!

Supporting all 23 of the official European Union languages across the five Unicode character sets of Latin, Latin Extended, Cyrillic , Greek and Greek Extended, the opportunity for registering domains that correctly the most popular EU languages and dialects is now vast.

The examples are endless, but think "café.eu" in French or "teléfono.eu" for telephone in Spanish, both names now possible and far more likely to be trafficked than their traditional ASCII counterparts on keyboards across Europe.

Domainmonster will be accepting pre-orders from early Tuesday (8th December 2009) on a first come first served basis (Taking only one pre-order per name) and entirely no-win-no-fee.
