Domain Name Wire Survey 2007
In a 2007 survey by Domain Name Wire, it was found that there was a slight decrease in satisfaction with ICANN.
Last years' survey declared approval at 33% but this year the figure dropped to 24%. 50% were satisfied with ICANNs performance although 26% declared it poor.
It was also mentioned that the most popular domains after .com was taken was .net with 73% of votes. So, are ICANN not responding to the public's interest in domain names?
The decline in satisfaction could possibly be due to unpopular new contracts with registries or their failure to act to the implosion for RegisterFlys domain registrars.
