.asia is going live! Did you secure a Landrush domain?

The asia tld Landrush stage of the .asia launch is now complete and we now know if your requested Domain Name(s) will be going to auction or allocated to you on 18th March 2008 (See below!). The DotAsia organisation received more than 500,000 applications, which clearly marks this launch as one of the biggest in history and a definite rival to the popular .com. We are now taking pre-orders for the first-come-first-served regular .asia domain registration on 26th March at 12:00 GMT/UTC. If Domainmonster.com shows a Domain Name as available now, then it is; so make sure you start searching early and get your pre-orders in NOW to be front of the line. We will only been accepting one applicant per Domain, so once you’ve checked out, that Domain Name will no longer be available to other searches and you will be our applicant!

We participated in the first-come-first-served openings of .mobi and .eu with an outstanding success rate and expect to be as successful on 26th March for .asia. If your Domain is showing an auction hammer, then it is ”Pending Auction” and will be going to auction very soon. You will receive more than 10 days notice of the auction start. If your Domain is showing a tick with an egg timer, then congratulations, you’re the only applicant and your Domain is “pending allocation” and will be live when released to us by the registry, on 18th March 2008.
